Taru Floor Lamp made of Albesia wood and palm leaves – approx. 120 cm high
Imagine how a soft light fills your room, inspired by the tropical flora of Bali. The Taru Floor Lamp with its impressive height of about 120 cm is more than just a light source – it brings a piece of Far Eastern nature into your home. The name "Taru" means "plant" in Balinese and emphasizes the natural design of this lamp.
The lampshade resembles an exotic flower bud just about to open with its slender, chalice-like shape. The carefully processed palm leaves in warm brown tones allow the light to shine through diffusely, creating a harmonious play of light and shadow. The light is gently broken at selected points, providing a cozy, relaxed atmosphere.
The slender trunk made of dark Albesia wood forms a stylish contrast to the lighter shade. The smooth surface of the wood is a testament to careful craftsmanship. Subtle accents made of natural fibers at the base and the transition to the shade set natural highlights and complete the harmonious overall picture. The Taru Floor Lamp thus becomes a mood-enhancing companion in your living space.
Important: The lamp is delivered without electrical parts such as socket, cable, or light source. This allows you to choose the light source (max. 25 watts) according to your preferences and have the installation done by a professional.
Natural Design Meets Balinese Craftsmanship
The shape of the Taru Floor Lamp is inspired by the lush plant world of Bali. It resembles a closed lotus bud or a tulip blossom just awakening. The dried palm leaves tell of sun, wind, and tropical vitality, which are palpable in every detail.
The strong, dark Albesia wood trunk stands firmly rooted while elegantly reaching upwards. When looking at the Taru, one immerses into the tranquility of a Balinese garden and can almost feel the gentle rustling of the leaves in the wind.

Behind the Scenes – Balinese Craftsmanship
When we visit the small workshop on the outskirts of Ubud, Nyoman and his wife Ketut greet us with open arms. With great passion, they transform palm leaves into unique lampshades.
Each leaf is carefully selected, dried, and shaped – no piece is alike. The special structure and grain tell their own story and give each lamp an individual touch.
Although the workshop is small, there is a lot of heart and skill in every lamp. When the evening sun falls into the open workshop and the lamps begin to glow, we enjoy the time with this wonderful family, and their art becomes a special experience for us.
Handcrafted Uniqueness
Each Taru Floor Lamp is handcrafted in Bali. Nature provides the materials, so color, shape, and grain vary – making each lamp a personal work of art.
