Tiying Wall Panel in Bamboo Pattern made of MDF, approx. 120 × 60 cm
Imagine a stylized section of a bamboo forest adorning your wall and bringing a harmonious, natural mood to your home. The Tiying Wall Panel impresses with its landscape format measuring approximately 120 cm in width and 60 cm in height, capturing the delicate beauty of bamboo in a unique way. The name "Tiying" comes from the Balinese language and means bamboo – a tribute to this fascinating plant.
Made from high-quality MDF board, the panel features a delicate, perforated motif of slender bamboo stalks and delicate leaves, reminiscent of a sunlit bamboo grove. The warm brown with fine shading highlights the natural structure and creates a vibrant depth effect. The artistic craftsmanship produces exciting light and shadow effects that vary depending on the light's angle, giving the motif a special liveliness.
This decorative relief is more than an ornament – it conveys a sense of connection to nature and tranquility, making it ideal for enriching living, sleeping, or working areas with a touch of Eastern serenity.
Our Tip: Enhance the effect of the wall panel by backlighting it with an LED light strip (not included). This will highlight the fine contours and create a pleasant, indirect illumination.
Tiying – Bamboo as a Symbol of Balinese Culture
In Bali, bamboo – "Tiying" – is deeply rooted in culture and everyday life. It represents not only its robustness and rapid growth but also symbolizes flexibility, steadfastness, and humility. The hollow stems reflect openness, while the ability to bend in the wind without breaking signifies adaptability and resilience.
Bamboo is ubiquitous there: from traditional buildings and gathering places (Bale Banjar) to artistic temple decorations like the tall "Penjor" poles and musical instruments like the Jegog. It is used in various ways – as material for furniture, baskets, kitchen utensils, and even as food. Each bamboo stalk tells of the close connection of the Balinese to their nature and their art of creating something special from simple materials.

Kayon Artisan
Sari, a dedicated artist from near Ubud, creates a variety of Albesia and MDF artworks in her shop in the city center. Despite affordable prices, her products impress with high quality and charm. Particularly popular are the so-called "Buddha Shoulders" – although they are actually Buddha necks, they are called this because the shoulders are also visible. On our last visit, Sari recognized us immediately and granted a special discount – a real highlight despite the stressful traffic in Ubud.
