The Art of Glass Melting in Bali – A Play of Fire and Nature

With much experience and sensitivity, the glass masters know exactly when the glass has reached the optimal temperature to merge with the root without damaging the wood. In this brief moment, the hot glass glides over the wood and permanently bonds with the surface. After cooling, the glass is carefully ground and polished until it shines crystal clear – thus creating a unique work of art.
The selected roots are chosen and prepared with great care. Their natural grains, characterful structures, and distinctive shapes make each piece a true one-of-a-kind.
