The Sari Nightstand Lamp is a loving homage to the nature and craftsmanship of Bali. Its name means “essence” or “flower” in Indonesian, referring to its floral shape and the natural material used.
This lamp is made from carefully curved palm leaves in a rich dark brown that elegantly embrace a softly glowing cream-colored globe. This light globe is created through a traditional process: a balloon is wrapped with fine natural fibers and glue until a stable, translucent shell is formed. After drying, the balloon is removed – leaving a lightweight, almost floating light element that emits a warm and pleasant light.
The simple base made of untreated wood ensures stability and provides a beautiful contrast to the dark leaves. A rustic sisal binding connects the base with the flower, harmoniously rounding off the natural overall appearance. Whether on the nightstand, sideboard, or as decorative light in the living room – the Sari lamp brings Balinese lifestyle and a warm atmosphere into your home.

In a small workshop on the outskirts of Ubud, Nyoman and his wife Ketut craft these special lamps with great passion and craftsmanship. With much patience, they select each palm leaf, dry it, and carefully shape it into the characteristic petals. No piece is alike – each tells its own story.
Although their business is small, it is filled with heart and experience. When the sun shines into the open workshop in the evening and the warm light of the lamps shines, we love to spend a moment with them over a cup of tea. These encounters make our trips to Bali even brighter – not just through the light, but through the people behind it.
