Naga Raja Cobra – Majestic Guardian made of Suar Wood
The Naga Raja Cobra has been carefully hand-carved from solid Suar wood, capturing the powerful presence and mystical aura of the king cobra. The term "Naga Raja" means "King of Snakes" and refers to the spiritual significance of this figure in Southeast Asian mythology.
In its characteristic upright posture with a spread hood, the sculpture appears vigilant and radiates a quiet authority. The lifelike design of the scales and the natural shaping reflect the high craftsmanship of Balinese woodcarvers.
The Naga Raja Cobra is available in two sizes (approximately 30 cm and approximately 40 cm) and attracts attention as a powerful symbol and decorative eye-catcher.
The Spiritual Significance of the Naga Raja
In Bali and many other Southeast Asian cultures, Nagas, often depicted as powerful cobras, are considered sacred beings with great symbolic power. They guard temples and thresholds, protect knowledge and spiritual treasures, and represent renewal, transformation, and cosmic energy. The Naga Raja Cobra embodies these attributes in an impressive way.
With its upright pose and distinctive hood, it symbolizes not only protection and vigilance but also reminds one of inner strength and wisdom. The warm, vibrant Suar wood, from which each figure is individually crafted, emphasizes the natural elegance and power of this unique artwork.

Merchant Information
Serayu Craft offers a unique shopping experience: Two adjacent shops with very different atmospheres, directly across from the duck center, where numerous wooden items are crafted daily.
In the first shop, you will find a rather reserved owner and a large selection of wooden figures – from monkeys to hippos to cobras and Buddhas.
The second shop is the exact opposite: Here, you are greeted by a very friendly owner who does not speak English but has a knack for fair prices. Negotiations take place with gestures. The extraordinary glass tables, supported by elephant or octopus legs, are particularly recommended. Please note that this shop is often closed during lunchtime.
Handicraft and Tradition
