Cicak Gecko Wall Decoration: hand-carved Albesia wood, 30 cm
Discover a piece of Balinese culture for your wall: Our
Cicak Gecko wall decor is traditionally hand-carved from
Albesia wood and painted with great attention to detail. The gecko – known as “Cicak” in Bali – symbolizes
luck,
adaptability, and
protection. This model impresses with elaborate dot painting and the characteristic, artistically curved
looped tail. With a length of approximately
30 cm, it is a stylish eye-catcher that tells stories of distant islands and traditional crafts.
The Cicak – A Lucky Charm with Cultural Significance
The call of the gecko often accompanies the nights in Bali, and its image on the wall or ceiling is considered a positive sign. More than just a small reptile, the Cicak symbolizes protection and positive energy for the home. Many Balinese families appreciate its presence as a lucky charm.
This hand-carved figure captures the graceful form of the Cicak particularly vividly – with the decorative, looped tail – and honors its significance in Balinese culture. A unique piece of tradition for your home.
Traditional Balinese Wood Carving Art
Our Cicak wall decor is created with careful craftsmanship by experienced carvers in Bali. The high-quality Albesia wood is skillfully shaped into a dynamic gecko form. Particularly striking are the elegant curve of the looped tail and the fine details.
The final painting is done by hand in antique style, often with traditional dot painting. The dark base is complemented by red and white accents, giving the piece a timeless elegance while allowing the natural grain of the wood to subtly show through.
